The Team

Sarah Joan Ross, Clarins Editor

Sarah Joan Ross

Position: Editor

About: Sarah has over 20 years of experience in the beauty and wellness industry, writing for ELLE, Marie Claire, GRAZIA, InStyle and Harper’s Bazaar. She’s a happy hoarder of fragrances, has tested zillions of products and believes the power of finding a good one can be life changing.

Favourite Clarins product: “The Tonic Oil was an absolute game-changer during pregnancy. I used this on my bump… and hips… and thighs to help keep my skin supple and ever ready for the expanding girth.”

Best Beauty tip: “Don’t overpluck your brows. The older I get, the more I’ve relied on them to give my face definition and with the right make-up techniques and products – a little eye lift too.”

Anne Lora Scagliusi, Beauty & Wellness Writer

Anne Lora Scagliusi

Position: Beauty & Wellness Writer

About: Before writing for Beauty Daily, Anne Lora contributed to Vogue and Vanity Fair. She moved to the UK after spending seven years in Dubai. Most days, she’s based in cold Edinburgh with her husband and plant babies. On warmer days, you’ll find her early mornings snorkelling in the Mediterranean and hosting late-night dinners in her summer house in Puglia.

Favourite Clarins product: “I swear by Clarins Supra Volume Mascara. It’s like having lash extensions everyday. Also, I love the zenness of a spa and if it’s not within reach, I will spritz Eau Dynamisante; it gives me the same luxurious feeling.”

Best beauty tip: “I live in Scotland, so I have to wear waterproof eye make-up. To remove it, I soak cotton pads in an oil-based remover, apply to the eyes, and let it sink in for a few seconds to dissolve the mascara. This extra step means I’m not constantly rubbing my eyes with the pads and will hopefully lead to fewer lines later on.”

Nishita Fiji, Beauty Writer

Nishita Fiji

Position: Beauty Writer

About: Nishita grew up in Mumbai and recently moved to London with her husband, a few belongings, and as many beauty products as plane regulations allow. Working as a beauty writer, she has penned for Vogue, GRAZIA, and ELLE, and she is also a fully qualified make-up artist. Her latest obsession is eyeliner and how to perfect both the graphic and smudgy kind – expect to see plenty of her artistry tips here on Beauty Daily.

Favourite Clarins product: “I love the idea of lip gloss…but not the sticky feel. However, the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil is the only exception. It’s light, moisturising and offers a glossy sheen that doesn’t look too over-the-top. I wear the shade Mint that works like a clear gloss (the blue tint doesn’t show) and leaves my lips feeling cool and tingly.”

Best beauty tip: “It’s so crucial to prep your skin well before make-up. First, use the right combination of serums and moisturizers and notice how make-up applies over them – like butter on warm toast.”
